Three Strand Akoya Pearl Necklace with 18ct Ruby & Diamond Clasp

A delightful, classic triple strand Akoya pearl necklace featuring three rows of 7/7.5mm Japanese Akoya pearls, the longest length being 41cm(16 inch), threaded plain onto a lovely 18ct ruby and diamond cluster clasp. The pearls are of good quality with a light, rose-cream overtone with clean skins and comprise an inner row of 48 pearls, middle row of 50 pearls and 53 pearls in the outer row. The yellow gold clasp measures 21.8mm diameter and features a centre round cut ruby of 3.6mm,surrounded by an inner border of eight 1mm diamonds in petal shaped grain settings, further surrounded by eight 3.1mm round cut rubies in raised claw settings, finished with a scalloped edge border grain set with a total of thirty two diamonds as above, to a total weight of approximately 0.20ct. The clasp has a tongue fastener and secured with a safety catch and bears a London Assay mark with a sponsors mark of LGH.
